Suspicious vehicle leads to drug bust

Three people are facing charges after a large amount of drugs were found in a vehicle. RCMP first got a report about the suspicious vehicle early the evening of August 3rd, and officers later spotted it running a stop sign.

While they were pulled over, drugs could be seen in the driver’s side door, and a further search turned up significant amounts of crack cocaine and meth. Fentanyl, marijuana and prescription pills were also found.

David Auger and Shaunette Sheen are both facing multiple charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, a controlled substance, a weapon dangerous to the public and property obtained by crime. Auger is also charged with driving a motor vehicle while unauthorized and will remain in custody until his court appearance on August 24th. Steen has been released and will appear on the same day.

The third person arrested was under age and their name has not been made public. They have been released on a promise to appear.
