UPDATE: Body of missing teen found on Whitefish River First Nation

UPDATE #2: A second body has been found in the rural High Prairie area. An ID hasn’t been confirmed.

UPDATE: RCMP have confirmed the body is that of missing 17 year old Dylan Laboucan. 19 year old Cory Grey is still missing. She’s described as Aboriginal, 5’4″, 100 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

A body was found on the Whitefish River First Nation Monday night but police haven’t confirmed whether it’s one of the missing teens. Corporal Hal Turnbull says the body was discovered by community members and reported to High Prairie RCMP around 7:40 p.m.

The scene is being held as investigators arrive, but an ID has not been made and the cause of death has not been determined. The death is considered suspicious and an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.

17 year old Dylan Laboucan and his 19 year old girlfriend Cory Grey were reported missing on Saturday after officers were called to their home just before 11 p.m. Laboucan was reportedly found unconscious but disappeared before police arrived.

Turnbull says at this point it’s possible the body is one of the teens, but it could also be completely unrelated. Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
