56 year old man charged after sex trade investigation

A 56 year old man has been charged after allegations surfaced that he was targeting high risk teenage males. Grande Prairie RCMP say Irving Tobias Oldford was attempting to get the young men to participate in the sex trade. The RCMP General Investigative Section set up surveillance on Sunday July 24th and witnessed, what they believed, was going to the result in a teen male being victimized. Officers intervened and arrested the suspect.

Oldford has been charged with three counts of procuring prostitution of someone under the age of 18. He has also been charged with one count of sexual assault. The 56 year old was released from custody on several conditions which include no contact with anyone under the age of 18 unless accompanied by an adult. He will appear in court on August 3rd.

RCMP are also looking for any additional victims and anyone with additional information, contact the local detachment.
