100th Teepee Creek Stampede starts today

The Teepee Creek Stampede is celebrating 100 years this week with kick off early Thursday morning. Junior Rodeo kicked off in the morning and the afternoon will continue with family fun. There will be bouncy castles, a meet and greet with an RCMP Officer, sand pile treasure hunt, meet & greet the Rodeo Queen and other activities which will all wrap up at 4:00 pm.

The Grand entry and introduction of the Miss Teepee Creek Stampede Queen Contestants will begin at 5:45 pm.

Western Chuckwagon Association GMC Pro Tour and the All Pro Canadian Chuckwagons Taste the Dust Pro Tour first round of races will begin at 6:30 pm.

At 7:00 pm, the family day supper as well as the Junior Rodeo and Wagon Master Awards presentations will begin in the Enframe barn.

The night will be wrap up with David Lee Murphy at 9:00pm.

The events for the remainder of the four days include mutton bustin’, Heavy Horse Pull, CPRA Pro Rodeo Slack Performance, Alberta Mounted Shooters Shooting Competition, Fireworks on Friday and Saturday, Alberta Cattlemens Team Penning, Wild Horse Race & Junior Wild Horse Race, Cowboy Church and Crowning of Miss Teepee Creek Stampede 2016.

There will also be ther Maddhatters & GP Brewing CO Beer Gardens Featuring Tim Hicks & Black Jack Billy on Friday and Montgomery Gentry on Saturday.
