Salvation Army overflowing with physical donations for Fort McMurray wildfire relief

The Salvation Army is filled to the brim with items collected for people in Fort McMurray but they don’t need any more. The organization has been collecting both monetary items and physical items as part of relief efforts following the May wildfires that ripped through the city.

Associate Corps Officer for the Salvation Army Major Bond Jennings says they don’t have the capacity to hold anymore physical goods with their church sanctuary overflowing and parking lot full of storage containers.

They are still accepting money to aid in fire relief which they say will help over the next year. Money donations can be made at the Salvation Army website.
