A man wanted on outstanding warrants has been arrested for dangerous driving in Whitecourt. An erratic driver was spotted on Highway 43 near the Eagle River Casino around 7 p.m. Monday.
When RCMP tried to put them over, the suspect drove off, and later tried to run over an officer when they again tried to arrest him. With the help of the Whitecourt Integrated Traffic Unit, the vehicle was disabled and the driver was arrested without another incident.
44 year old Byron Emlyn Lindstrom is facing charges of dangerous driving and assault on a peace officer. He was already wanted for several counts of uttering threats and causing mischief out of Fairview. He’ll be back in court on July 12th.
