Jason Kenney bringing unite the right movement to Grande Prairie

Former federal cabinet minister Jason Kenney will be visiting the Grande Prairie region this week. MP Chris Warkentin says the long-time politician will be meeting with local leaders and later the public at an evening event.

He’s expected to speak about his hopes of bringing small-C Conservatives together, as he’s reportedly been talking to high level members about merging the Alberta PC and Wildrose parties. It’s also possible he may share plans for his own political future, on which he’s recently kept mum. It’s rumoured he’s strongly considering a run for the Progressive Conservative leadership.

The event will be held at 4Tress Estates, which is the former Pomeroy Arabians location west of the airport. It’s open to anyone interested at no cost at 7:30 p.m.
