City of Grande Prairie firefighters responded to a house fire early Tuesday morning. They arrived at 5:00 am to an abandoned building that was boarded up on 96th Avenue. There were flames coming out of the top of it. Fire crews had some trouble getting into the building because of boarded up windows and doors but did have the fire under control within an hour.
Crews searched the inside of the building but found no people and there were no injuries reported.
There are no estimates on damages.
