Two Whitecourt residents charged with fraud

Two residents of Whitecourt have been charged with fraud. 43 year old Henry Christopher Steffensen and a 41 year old woman have been charged in relation to fraudulent transactions that took place in the last few weeks. RCMP say a youth athletic association, a service group and some businesses were the victims of the fraud.

Steffensen has been charged with using a forged document, forgery and breaches of recognizance. Both the 41 year old and the man were charged with fraud not exceeding $5000.

The woman will appear in court in August.
