Grande Prairie Pride Society brings LGBT Human Rights Activist to GPRC

The first ever Grande Prairie Pride celebration will be taking place this weekend. The LGBTQ celebration will begin on Friday with a speech from Executive Director of Freedom and Roam Uganda Kasha Jaqueline Nabagesera. The free event with the LGBT Humans Rights activist is presented by the Pride Society as well as the Grande Prairie Regional College Speakers Series at 8:00 pm at the college.

The Carnival will take place Saturday at the GPRC north parking lot with face painting, live entertainment and 2day FM will have a dunk tank at the event. This part of the weekend will begin at 11:00 am.

The Party in White will wrap up the two days with DJ’s, dancing and Drag Queens. It will begin at 6 pm and the organizers recommend that anyone attending wear white. It will take place at Teresa Sargeant Hall. Tickets are available at Revolution Place.

At the party Saturday night, there will be small Pride Society posters sold with all proceeds to the Victims of Orlando Fund.
