Storm alumni arrested after scuffle with police at Disney World

An NHL prospect originally from Peace River has gotten himself into hot water. 24 year old Darren Kramer was arrested early Tuesday morning for allegedly fighting a police officer at Disney World.

According to Deadspin, the Grande Prairie Storm alumni was reportedlytrying to distract to officer while his friend tried to run off with bowling pins stolen from a restaurant. He was tased in the process.

Kramer has been charged with battery of a law enforcement officer, grand theft, and resisting arrest without violence. He currently plays for the Manitoba Moose in the American Hockey League. The team says they’re aware of the incident but have not yet commented.
