New coach for GPRC women’s basketball team

The Women’s Basketball Program at the Grande Prairie Regional College have a new head coach. Coming from the east, Jared Cheverie will take his experience from multiple years of coaching to Wolves Athletics.

He has coached teams at the University of Prince Edward Island, Holland College and Crandall University. The new coach was also part of the Canada Games Basketball Program in Charlottetown, PEI.

He says he is excited to represent his home out east while also bringing the team some new growth.

Cheverie is replacing Graeme Ryder who was involved with the team for many years but officially joined the coaching staff in the 2012-2013 season.
