UPDATE: 19 year old ejected from vehicle in Berwyn crash

UPDATE: Peace Regional RCMP have confirmed a 19 year old man was ejected from his vehicle during the crash around 5 a.m. near Berwyn. He was the only person in the vehicle at the time, and suffered serious injuries. Police are investigating the collision with the help of a local re-constructionist.

A teen was flown to hospital after a single vehicle rollover near Grimshaw this morning. STARS Air Ambulance responded to the crash just before 5:15 a.m. on Highway 2 at Township Road 825.

Communications Lead Fatima Khawaja says the boy in his mid-teens was taken to the Peace River Airport, where he was picked up by an Alberta Health Services fixed wing plane. He ended up at the University of Alberta Hospital and at last note was in serious but stable condition.

No word yet from RCMP on whether any other people were involved or injured.
