Muddy weekend for Wembley Mud Bogs

All the rain we’ve had in last few days means more mud for the Wembley Mud Bogs this weekend. Organizer Myron Krahn says the rain beforehand won’t affect the races too much, it is more about the weather the day of.

“We are kind of in that [mud] business anyway. We are going to be doing mud drag racing. We have two pits side-by-side with a drag timing system. We will have two trucks going head-to-head in each class. We have six different classes to go in there.”

They will also have the Bounty Pit set up for competitors to try. Quads, sleds and trucks of all kinds will make their way down to Wembley for the event.

Krahn adds that people don’t have to worry about getting their boots dirty because they have rig matting laid out for spectators.

The event will start at 1:00 pm on Saturday and continue on Sunday at noon.
