The Pomeroy Guitars and Wagons begins tonight but the WCA Chuckwagon Races will be postponed. Due to rain showers making muddy conditions at the Gordon Badger Stadium, the organizers say it is not safe to hold the event. The races were set for 7:00 pm and the Dash for Cash final will be pushed to Monday night. The Buddy Pickup Barrel Races that were on for 6:30 pm tomorrow have been canceled.
The entire event will still run until June 19th.
The concert at the Entrec Centre is a go tonight and the event will continue tomorrow. The WCA Chuckwagon Races will start at 7:00 pm and Jackpot One Ladies Barrel Racing will kick off on Saturday at 10:30 am.
Spirit River’s Sean DeBolt and Grande Prairie’s Derek Aebly will be participating in the Chuckwagon Races. They are number 1 and 2 in the WCA season standings.
