County road ban back in place Thursday, Highway 40 lifted

Road bans go back in effect in the County of Grande Prairie tomorrow. Thanks to the heavy rain, all gravel roads in the County will be at 75 per cent axle weight all hours of the day.

The ban starts at 10 a.m. Thursday and will be in place until further notice. At the same time, the 75 per axle weight restriction on Highway 40 from the Cutbank River to the Kakwa River is being lifted.

Road bans are used to protect roads during inclement weather, construction, and the spring thaw.
