RCMP treating Tommy Gun’s fire as arson

Sunday morning’s fire at Tommy Gun’s Original Barbershop is being considered arson by RCMP. Emergency services responded to the barbershop in the Grande Prairie Power Centre at 3:40 a.m. and found smoke billowing from the building.

A truck has crashed through the front of the building, but since the location was closed at the time, no one was injured. It received significant structural and fire damage, but firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the one shop.

However, the other businesses in the strip mall are closed today so the damage to them can be assessed. An investigation by Grande Prairie RCMP and a fire investigator continues.
