The Alberta High School Rodeo Championships will kick off at noon at Evergreen Park tomorrow. There will be cowgirls and cowboys from grades 9 through 12 participating in tie down roping, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, barrel racing, poles, goat tying, team roping and breakaway roping.
The top four finalists from each event at the end of the weekend will go to Wyoming for the Nationals where they will be up against 48 other states and provinces.
The event will take place at the grand stands at Evergreen park. Admission is free all weekend with Saturday the rodeo commencing at 10:00 am and Sunday at 9:00 am.
