Locals drivers in good position after day one of Stompede chuckwagons

High River’s Jason Glass is in the lead after the first night of the Grande Prairie Stompede. He had the fastest time of 1:16:36 in what was a very close opening night for the World Professional Chuckwagon Association. Four drivers were all under 1-17.

Local drivers are decent position going into day two. Kirk Sutherland is in eighth while his brother Kelly is ninth. His son Mark is 11th, while Mike Vigen is in 13th. Former Stompede champion Rick Fraser is 35th

In the Western Chuckwagon Association, Derek Aebley was the best of 12 drivers with a time of 1:17:63. Lee Adamson leads the All Pro Chucks with a time of 1:14:43.
