Mobile home north of Sexsmith “total loss” after fire

A mobile home has been destroyed by fire north of Sexsmith. Firefighters from Clairmont, Teepee Creek, La Glace and Sexsmith responded around 2 p.m. Monday.

When they arrived on scene, the trailer was already fully engulfed in flames. Crews were able to extinguish the blaze quickly and stopped it from spreading to other nearby homes.

No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Fire Chief Everett Cooke confirmed the home is a total loss.
