Man pleads guilty to robbery

A man who unknowingly turned himself into the RCMP in February has plead guilty to five charges. Shane Wyant Embree went into the Grande Prairie detachment on February 21st to clear up a traffic matter but was soon recognized as the suspect in a string six robberies that happened between October 9th and December 6th 2015.

He appeared in court this week and he was facing fourteen charges. He plead guilty to four counts of robbery and one of wearing a disguise with intent. His sentencing date is August 8th.
