3rd Annual Interfaith breakfast held tomorrow in Grande Prairie

Eight different faith groups will meet together for breakfast tomorrow hosted by the City of Grande Prairie. Mayor Bill Given says he wants to highlight the important role that people of faith and faith communities contribute to the city and also the region.

Representatives from the Grande Prairie Islamic Association, Grande Prairie Hindu Association, Grande Prairie Sikh Temple, Redeemed Christian Church, Victory Church, Salvation Army Church, St. Paul’s United Church, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church as well as the Mayor worked together on the event.

The breakfast is held at the Montrose Cultural Centre at 7:30 am. This is the third event of it’s kind and is open to anyone to attend.

This year Reverend Stan McKay is the guest speaker a member of the Fisher Creek First Nation in Manitoba.
