Census deadline tomorrow

Tomorrow is the deadline to complete your census information. Earlier in the month, residents should have received a letter in the mail which has instructions on how to complete the 2016 questionnaire online. The government will use the census information in the planning of services like child care, schooling or housing. Census data will also be used for making decisions in provinces, territories, and across the country.

Residents who would rather complete the information via paper can also call the toll free number included on the package they got in the mail. Every fourth resident received a long-form census questionnaire to provide more in depth information. It is the law to complete census information and residents can be charged up to 500 dollars or spend 3 months in jail if they refuse to complete the information.

You can find more information on the census here.
