Crews from the County of Grande Prairie’s Clairmont fire department responded to a grass fire on Range Road 54, north of Highway 43 this afternoon. Â The fire was reportedly quickly contained and is expected it to be out shortly.
If you see smoke, report it immediately to 911. Due to the extreme fire hazard, the provincial government has implemented a province wide fire ban. Off highway vehicle use is also prohibited in provincial parks and public lands due to the extreme fire risk.
