UPDATE: Lac Ste. Anne County says the fire is now considered under control after having burned 300 hectares. Residents have been told they can go home.
Parts of the Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation are being evacuated due to a serious fire. Mayerthorpe RCMP say a full evacuation order has been issued for the hamlet of Glenevis and residents north of the reserve.
Everyone in the Lac Ste. Anne County area is asked to close their doors, windows and vents. Visibility in the area will also be affected. People are asked to avoid the area.
