A 35 year old man is facing numerous charges after he assaulted a female with bear spray. After the assault on April 18th, Bob Friesen’s identity had been given to the police but was not immediately found.
On Sunday April 24th, his vehicle was located at the Paradise Inn and when the RCMP came to arrest him, he put the vehicle in reverse causing extensive damage to a marked police car. According to police, he narrowly missed an officer.
Friesen is facing numerous charges including two counts of Assault to a Police Officer with a Weapon, Assault with a Weapon, and three counts of Fail to Comply with conditions of recognizance. He also faces charges of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
Nobody was injured and he will appear in court tomorrow in Grande Prairie.
