There were five reported UFO sightings in the Grande Prairie area last year. Two of them had insufficient evidence and one had a probable cause, but two are considered unexplained.
In one case, two people saw a large central lights surrounding it in a triangle. It was reportedly being followed by military jets for more than half an hour the night of October 14th.
The other was at 9:15 p.m. on December 9th when two people saw a red vertical light in the sky with something moving in the middle. Ufology Research maintains that even if a report can’t be explained, it doesn’t imply that an alien aircraft or mysterious natural phenomenon was seen.
Nearly 1,300 sightings were reported across the country in 2015.
