Over $300,000 worth of stolen property recovered near Grande Cache

Two men are being charged with over 150 Criminal Offences after RCMP discovered over $300,000 worth of stolen items on a property. 37-year old Richard Nieradaka and 41-year old Taylor Boyd are facing a variety of firearms charges which does include Possession of a Prohibited Firearm. They are also charged with Possession of Stolen Property.

Last Wednesday, Grande Cache RCMP received information about a stolen skid-steer in the area of Muskeg Coop. They arrived in the area and began a search where they found the item hidden in an area a short distance from Highway 40.

Police did a follow up investigation which led to the property where the skid-steer had been hidden. They received a search warrant and discovered a large amount of stolen property. The items recovered include a snowmobile, two motorcycles, a second skid-steer, a new holiday trailer, three tandem axle flat deck type trailers, and a variety of smaller items.

RCMP says the items were stolen from all over Northern Alberta as well as BC.
