Brad Gushue has completed a career Grand Slam with his Players’ Championship win Sunday. Gushue’s rink, which includes Beaverlodge’s Geoff Walker, defeated defending champion Brad Jacobs 5-4 in the men’s final.
They had already secured the Rogers Grand Slam Cup Saturday as overall season champions. Team Gushue claimed both the Masters and Canadian Open titles last season and took the National title this past November. The Newfoundland and Labrador rink also took the Elite 10 in March.
Walker threw lead stones for all four major victories.
