Sentence given for Hythe grocery store robbery

A man has received a 31 and a half month jail sentence after an attempted robbery at a Hythe grocery store last fall. On September 21st, Angus Ferguson entered Hythe Bigway with a gun and demanded money from a cashier, but left empty handed before the police got there. He used an unloaded BB gun when he went into the store and no one was injured.

The Horse Lake man was charged with several weapons offences, including robbery with a firearm, along with breach of recognizance and obstruction. He plead guilty to the robbery and will get seven and ahlf months credit for time served.
