It’s spring cleaning time for the City of Grande Prairie. Crew got started last week picking up debris from the west side of the city, starting at Wapiti Road and heading to 116th Avenue.
As most of the snow has melted from streets, litter and trash that got caught in it is now scattered around the city. The big clean up with seasonal staff will start in May, and the parks department will be keeping track of just how much garbage is collected.
Any business, residents or community groups wanting to help out can also join in during the annual City Scrub program from May 6th to 15th.
