Valleyview Jets voted back in to NPHL

After a three year hiatus, the Valleyview Jets will be back in action this fall. The North Peace Hockey League voted to accept them back at a meeting Sunday. The Jets last played in the 2012-2013 season  but reportedly have enough interest to ice a team for 2016.

That means there will be nine teams next season, as the Grande Prairie Athletics had their bid to rejoin the league approved last weekend. They took a year off after several players retired.

The next big decision for the N-P-H-L will be whether to return to an east versus west format.
