Team Canada wins gold at 2015 World Men’s curling championship

Former Grande Prairie curler Kevin Koe has captured the 2016 World men’s curling title with a 5-3 victory over Denmark in Sunday’s final. It’s the first time in four years a Canadian team has won, after Glenn Howard took home gold in 2012 also in Basel, Switzerland.

The Calgary rink was also in the top spot at the Home Hardware Canada Cup held in Grande Prairie in December 2015. Koe said it was a special win for him as he lived in Grande Prairie up until four years ago.
