Daffodil month campaign kicks off

You will see people around Grande Prairie selling daffodil pins all month long because April is Daffodil month. People who have had cancer before or know someone who theyd like to support will join the fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society. Two-time cancer survivor Alice Brick says from her experience with cancer, she likes to see people involved in this campaign as well as others like the Relay for Life.

“I think it is wonderful. It is such an important factor in people’s lives. People who are going through it, it is very difficult. So any support they can get from the public is so much appreciated”

She encourages people to support people living with cancer in the area by purchasing their Daffodil pins or attending the Daffodil Tea. All money raised from the Daffodil campaign will go toward research, support services, and prevention strategies in Grande Prairie and across the Country.

You can learn more about the Daffodil Campaign on the Canadian Cancer Society’s website.
