Five people have been charged in connection with three gas station robberies in High Prairie last Wednesday. In the early morning hours of March 23rd, two people stole a bunch of cigarettes from the Esso gas station.
A couple of hours later, two women armed with knives also took cigarettes and cash from the same spot. The third theft happened just before 10 p.m. at the Shell gas station when a woman with a knife made off with cash and cigarettes.
It took police less than 24 hours to find the two women reponsible for the second grab, and when their home was searched, evidence from all three robberies was found, along with cocaine. Three other people in the home were also arrested.
