Pro-LNG truck rally in Fort St. John

Nearly 600 vehicles took part in a pro-LNG truck rally in Fort St. John Wednesday. The event was organized to show the community’s support of the liquefied natural gas industry, and was held in conjunction with rallies in Terrace and Fort Nelson.

Once everyone parked, local dignitaries addressed the crowd, encouraging residents to write to to the Prime Minister, to the Minister of Environment and the Minister of Natural Resources in support of LNG development.

The newly formed group “FSJ for LNG” says it supports the Pacific NorthWest LNG project, a proposed natural gas liquefaction and export facility off the north coast of B-C.
