County continues snow removal

The County of Grande Prairie is working to clear the roads after recent snowfall. Public Works Operations Manager Clint Diederich says the County is working at full capacity and their main priority is to clear the roads that are connected to towns and the city as well as local gravel roads.

The County also reminds people to never cut off a snow plow while driving and stay three car lengths behind equipment. They also say to watch for snow removal signage and do not park on the roadside.

Along with the safety tips, the County also sent out a reminder about main and secondary highways. These highways are cleared by Alberta Transportation and you can contact them with any concerns about clearing these roads.
