Man charged after allegedly found squatting in a house in Grande Prairie

Grande Prairie RCMP responded to a call that unknown people were living in a house in the city that was not supposed to have people in it. Officers responded to the complaint of squatting at around 7:00 pm yesterday to the house at 74 avenue and 107 street and found Michael Geib inside the home. The 31 year old was uncooperative and ran from the house out the back door.

Geib was located quickly just south of 76 Avenue. The suspect was already wanted on 24 outstanding warrants in relation to firearm trafficking in Morinville. He has received two additonal charges of obstruct Peace Officer.

Geib was kept in custody and will appear in court on March 2nd, 2016.
