Two year sentence for armed robbery of house

A two year prison sentence has been handed down to the wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for stealing a number of firearms from a Mountview area home last March. The armed robbery happened on the 5th of the month, and police found evidence that a shot had been fired in the house.

10 days later, police surrounded a home in South Patterson and Ryan Raymond Hynes was arrested without further incident. He was charged with several robbery and firearms offences and initially plead not guilty.

That changed late last month at a preliminary hearing where he plead guilty to careless use of a firearm and possession of a prohibited firearm. His two year sentence came with 15 months credit for time served.
