Attempted child luring in South Patterson

Police are looking into another potential case of attempted child luring in Grande Prairie. A girl was approached by two women in a van around 3:45 p.m Wednesday on 71st Avenue near 99th Street.

The black van reportedly pulled into a driveway and a young woman got out and asked the child if she wanted a ride home. When the girl declined, a second woman opened the passenger side door and told her she could get in the vehicle. The child say no again and kept walking until she could call her mother safely.

Both suspects are described as Filipino. The younger woman was 5’5″ or 5’6″ with a small build and her black hair pulled into a high pony tail. The older woman had dark grey hair and was wearing a colourful dress.

RCMP is working to find them and the van and remind parents to teach their children to stay away from strangers.
