UPDATE: Freezing rain warning has ended for Grande Prairie region

Update: Freezing rain warning has ended for the Peace Region.

A freezing rain warning has been issued for the Grande Prairie – Beaverlodge – Valleyview region. Environment Canada expects freezing rain to stretch from Valleyview to Rimbey tonight with parts of Highway 16 and Highway 43.

Ice accumulations should be light but could be up to two millimetres in some areas. Roads and walkways could become slippery.

Here in Grande Prairie, snow or freezing rain is expected to start tonight. Two to four centimetres of snow is in the forecast.
