The Grande Prairie Fire Department responded to a structure fire earlier today in Royal Oaks area. At around 7:45 am thirteen staff members responded to a fire on the balcony of the third floor of an apartment building.
Fire crews arrived and found a cardboard fire that someone had attempted to extinguish. There were no injuries or damage.
Grande Prairie Fire says they want to remind people that all smoking materials should be disposed of in a container that can not burn.
