The 2016 Farm Family of the Year Award goes to Cliff and Karren Richards of Scenic Heights Farm in LaGlace. County Council has named the two award winners for their farming efforts in the community.
The County of Grande Prairie says the Richards’ have offered many opportunities to international exchange workers and a very involved in the community. The County says Mr. Richards served as Director of the Peace Country Bison Association and the LaGlace Ag Society.
The Richards family has been farming for three generations and all the generations have actively participated in 4-H. The family will be honoured at a banquet hosted by the County of GP at the Peace Country Classic Agri-Show on March 11th.
