UPDATE: Prisoner found near Fort Nelson

UPDATE: RCMP have located Harley John Lay and the 29 year old is back in custody. Officers say the other two men that had taken Lay from the correctional officers yesterday have also been arrested. They say a vehicle, with all three people inside, was pulled over near Fort Nelson at around 11:30 am today.

RCMP are looking for 29 year old Peace River Correctional Facility prisoner, Harley John Lay. Officers report an armed and masked man took the 29 year old at around 10:00 am today while being escorted by correctional officers to the Peace River Hospital. The masked man was accompanied by another man and they took off in a beige Dodge minivan with an unknown license plate. The vehicle was last seen heading towards highway 2 after being spotted on 74th street in Peace River.

RCMP say not to approach Lay or the people he may be with. Anyone with information about his whereabouts, the vehicle or the two men involved in this incident are asked to call Peace River RCMP or your local police department immediately.
