Today is the last day to submit comments on the federal environmental assessment of the proposed Amisk Hydroelectric Project on the Peace River. The 300 megawatt dam would be located roughly 15 kilometres upstream of Dunvegan.
The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency is looking for hear from the public on what parts of the environment could be affected, and what should be looked at during the environmental assessment. The project is proposed to generate roughly 1,875 gigawatt hours of electricity each year through the operation of a powerhouse, transmission line and substation.
There will be two more chances to comment.
