The Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital emergency department will be without an on-site physician from Tuesday evening until Wednesday night.
From 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 21 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, and 8 p.m. Thursday, July 23 to 8 a.m. Friday, July 24 the ED will be without an onsite physician.
However, nursing staff will remain on-site in the emergency department providing triage, assessments, and referrals for patients to alternate emergency departments in neighbouring communities, as needed.
Patients are asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency during these times. EMS will remain available to the community and will be re-routed to surrounding facilities, including Grande Prairie Regional Hospital.
