Man charged after theft from a vehicle last night

A man has been arrested and charged for numerous offenses after he took a wallet from a vehicle yesterday. RCMP received a report of 24-year old Jesse Banner running from a vehicle in a rural area near Grande Prairie around 9:30pm last night.

Banner has been charged with theft under $5000, mischief under $5000, resisting a Peace Officer, assaulting a Peace Officer and 2 counts of failure to comply with a Probation Order. The 24-year old was treated for minor injuries at the hospital but then was released.

Banner will appear in court on January 25th and Officers would like to thank the public for their assistance on this arrest.
