The Rotary Club of Grande Prairie needs volunteers for a project that will help lives around the globe. The plan will help people who are in need of emergency food crisis relief. The Rotary Club has partnered with the STOP HUNGER NOW Organization and will need about 600 workers. The volunteers would be part of an assembly line on January 23rd that would be preparing a bag of mixed ingredients which would feed 1 point 2 million people.
The Rotary Club of Grande Prairie has donated $75, 000 to cover the cost of the ingredients as well as shipping the items once they are complete. Their goal is to package 200, 000 meals in the one day.
