Manslaughter charge laid in 2012 concert beating death

Nearly four years after the beating death of a man at a Hedley concert in Dawson Creek, someone has been charged. It’s believed the February 14th, 2012 fight between four Fort St. John men started over a spilled beer.
28 year old Jason Foster was found in the men’s washroom at the Encana Events Centre and later passed away in hospital. Three suspects were arrested at a local bar later that night, but no charges were laid. At the time, Dawson Creek RCMP Staff Sergeant Milo Macdonald said it can take a long time for that to happen when someone dies in an altercation, especially when there are several witnesses.
An arrest warrant for 25 year old Levi Morris was issued last week, and he turned himself in earlier today. He’s been charged with manslaughter.
