Three face charges in back-to-back stolen vehicle incidents

Three people are facing charges after officers tracked stolen vehicles in the Grande Prairie area on consecutive days.

Police said members of the Clairmont RCMP general duty section spotted a vehicle reported stolen earlier in the day on April 15 in the County of Grande Prairie off Range Road 70.

Officers continued to monitor the vehicle as it travelled into Grande Prairie, where it was later abandoned on a residential street. RCMP, assisted by a police dog, arrested two occupants.

A 47-year-old man is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and failing to comply with release conditions. He was remanded into custody.

A 45-year-old woman is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Police said a second incident occurred April 16, when officers observed another stolen vehicle being driven on 84 Avenue in Grande Prairie.

Officers kept the vehicle under observation until it stopped at a liquor store, where both occupants were arrested.

A 50-year-old Grande Prairie man is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear April 20, 2026, in Alberta Court of Justice in Grande Prairie.

Police said the passenger in that vehicle was released without charges.
